<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5rem; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; line-height: 24px; color: #1d1d1d; font-size: 1.25rem; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit;">GLADIATOR trolling reel</span></h2> <p style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; color: #2b2626; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff;">The Gladiator Reel was born from the will and a project of the expert technician Sergio Riccò, born in Modena but who soon emigrated to Venezuela.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">Back in Italy at the end of the 1960s his passion for the sea combined with some Venezuelan deep-sea fishing experiences led him, since in those years there was a lack of specific products for Big Game, to design and build the Gladiator reel.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">After a few years of testing (which was followed by patent application nr. 31039) and excellent practical results he began the production of the Gladiator also assisted by other collaborators.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">Some time later Mr. Ricò thought of contacting Carlo D'Olivo president of Italcanna to improve the commercial diffusion of the product, and shortly after in the 1970s Mr. D'Olivo personally became part of the Gladiator company and then took it over completely a few years later upon the death of his friend Sergio.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">For all these years the Gladiator company produced highly specialized equipment for deep-sea fishing such as rings, handles, etc.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">The Gladiator has over time always stood out for its simplicity of operation and elegance, and was the first reel in the world with an electric contact sound beacon for shoaling (it could operate the boat siren or other electric means - 1st prize Spoga Koln 1979 - Germany).<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">In the following years due to a strong demand for the product, production agreements were also made with other companies that further improved the quality level.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">The reel GLADIATOR is the perfect match for Italcanna rods and together they have won over the years numerous Italian, European and World Championships (as visible in the news area) as well as several catch records.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">Technique, experience but also deep passion for sea fishing are therefore at the basis of a Gladiator reel that is now made of anti-corrosion alloy and stainless steel (on high-speed bearings) and is a real strong point on the market for lightness, performance and reliability.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">Every single computer-designed component is then made on extremely precise machining centers, and using it you will appreciate the innovative lever non-return system (by means of a free wheel) and the easy adjustment of a cam-driven carbon clutch that does not allow for errors from over-tightening or wigging due to full spool release.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">The special off-center ergonomic handle made of reinforced abs allows not only a better grip, but also makes it easier to hold because it is always upright, as well as transmitting more power to the axle.<br style="box-sizing: inherit;">The elegance of the nickel/anti-corodal contrasts is enhanced by laser engravings that will not fade or fade over time.</p> <p style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; color: #2b2626; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff;"></p> <p style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; font-size: 14px; color: #2b2626; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: inherit;">Completely revamped in aesthetics and materials, the new gladiator reel replaces the previous version from which it differs in greater simplicity of construction, weight reduced by a third, practicality of use, cutting-edge materials, high aesthetic level and also technological innovations on the non-return system (free wheel) and clutch lever guided by means of a cam (patented systems)that prevents any wigs of the line and the accidental complete tightening of the spool. Also by pressing a button located on the lever ,it allows the insertion of a reduced gear, which is particularly useful for reducing the effort in fights. The operation of the second speed is very simple and quick. It is completely constructed of light alloy and stainless steel with an elegant off-center ergonomic handle that makes it easier to grip and allows more power to be transmitted to the 'axle. <h2><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Trabucco hyroncast surfcasting fishing reel</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="color: #000000;">La <strong>fishing at</strong> <strong>Surf Casting</strong> (American term, literally "Throwing on the wave") is a technique practiced in the Atlantic countries and introduced in Italy, at least to the general public, towards the end of the 1980s, thanks to some fishermen who did a very valuable job of adapting the U.S. techniques to the realities of the Mediterranean, experimenting with them on the coasts of Sardinia, which, even today, turn out to be the most suitable and therefore the most fruitful for this technique. In fact, the Atlantic techniques aim at catching the large predators that, at high tide, approach the coast to hunt, attracted by the host of grubers that feed on the organisms that the movement of the waters release from the sand. Also for the <strong>surfcasting</strong> homegrown, the concepts remain more or less the same, only that the smaller excursion between low and high tide, does not create that sufficient eatery to attract either gruboliers or predators. It was verified that such conditions were recreated when the waves of the swells broke on the beach, disrupting the bottom and releasing small mollusks and crustaceans that attracted precisely the grufolators and consequently, also the predators. Thus, the first rule of the <strong>surfcasting</strong> mediterranean is that if there is no wave, there is no surf, although, in recent years, we are realizing that this rule finds exceptions and for some prey, such as Mormora, Bream, Sarago and Razza, catches occur even in calm seas. From this observation, a technique was born, albeit similar to the <strong>Surf Casting</strong>, which differs substantially because it is practiced in calm or nearly calm sea conditions, called "<strong>Beach Legering</strong>", which provides for a<strong>fishing equipment</strong> and a "lighter" philosophy of the <strong>Surf Casting</strong>. Returning to the technique that is the subject of this article, it must be said that of all the possible fisheries at sea, the <strong>Surf Casting</strong> it shines in sportsmanship and a high frequency of coats! In fact, unlike other techniques, the result of a line of <strong>Surf Casting</strong> is too tied to the "magic" moment to be within everyone's reach. First of all, the surf castman has to pinpoint exactly when the sea is in ideal conditions, that is, when the swell releases nourishment causing prey to rush in and thus be able to catch them. These conditions are not very frequent and can last for varying lengths of time, both day and night, when the <strong>Surf Casting</strong> can offer exciting catches.</span></p> <p></p> <h2><span Thus, Leppa 11 was born as an answer to all salt and freshwater casters who like to use light equipment to search for their favorite predators. The proportions and shape of the big brothers remain unchanged: that special "anatomy" that makes Leppa unique. The flattened and aerodynamic body with the center of gravity of the bait shifted to the rear make this jig a real "bullet" . Its swimming is nervous and wagging even on slow, linear retrieves, and the lure responds promptly to jerks by producing the classic "side to side" motion generally more common in classic jerk minnow. During the fall to the bottom the jig, thanks to its knife-like shape, leaves the vertical trajectory "exhibiting" a disorderly flicker, accentuated more by the refraction of light on the side of the lure formed by three planes slightly angled to each other. Precisely because of this feature we decided to arm the metal with a single assist (formed by a strong lanyard and a Gamu round Hook size #1) and specifically let's see why : 1 The assist hook is an additional moving element that creates interest in the predator's sight. 2 The "lightness" of the assist increases the probability of strike especially on predators that suck in the bait. 3 If the jig is used on the bottom the "lightness" of the assist hook averts unpleasant strandings. 4 The Gamu Hook facilitates and speeds up the unhooking stages by making it possible to release the prey. 5 The mobility of the assist hook completely negates any leverage or twisting effect that often causes the prey to dislodge. 6 The robustness of the assist hook makes a small bait like this perform well even on very large prey. Reading these characteristics, one can guess the many scenarios in which the Leppa 11 can be successfully employed: from the classic off-shore feeding ( so setters, horse mackerel, mackerel, walleye, tombarelli , lampugheye bonito etc etc etc) to the search for all those bottom fish such as paragus, gurnard, snapper, scorpionfish and tracine. But it is also excellent for baiting from the shore in the skimmers of the underwater sea bass, bream, saddled bream, greenhouse and barracuda. Thanks to its size, it also lends itself to use in fresh water : for example, let it fall to the bottom of a large lake in search of a real perch or let it flicker in the current of a stream ready to intrigue a beautiful trout on the prowl ! The series is offered with the AAA natural cork handle cover and in lengths of 10'0", 12'0" with 3Lb power suitable for fishing on the move and in small waters, up to the 13'0" for 3.5 Lb perfect for long range or using PVA bags. The rings are SeaGuide Sic with stainless steel frames designed for durability, while the Webo reel seat securely secures the reel to the rod blank. CRUSADER LDs, on the other hand, are dedicated to lovers of extreme casting. Two rods, a 12'0" for 3 Lb and a 13'0" for 3.5 Lb whose mainly tip action hides a great ductility of the shaft, which is especially appreciated during the combat phases by making it work as a classic parabolic-progressive. The set-up is of the highest quality, with SeaGuide rings perfect for protecting the line from abrasion and dispersing the heat developed when retrieving larger fish.
