Trabucco hyroncast surfcasting fishing reel

La fishing at Surf Casting (American term, literally "Throwing on the wave") is a technique practiced in the Atlantic countries and introduced in Italy, at least to the general public, towards the end of the 1980s, thanks to some fishermen who did a very valuable job of adapting the U.S. techniques to the realities of the Mediterranean, experimenting with them on the coasts of Sardinia, which, even today, turn out to be the most suitable and therefore the most fruitful for this technique. In fact, the Atlantic techniques aim at catching the large predators that, at high tide, approach the coast to hunt, attracted by the host of grubers that feed on the organisms that the movement of the waters release from the sand. Also for the surfcasting homegrown, the concepts remain more or less the same, only that the smaller excursion between low and high tide, does not create that sufficient eatery to attract either gruboliers or predators. It was verified that such conditions were recreated when the waves of the swells broke on the beach, disrupting the bottom and releasing small mollusks and crustaceans that attracted precisely the grufolators and consequently, also the predators. Thus, the first rule of the surfcasting mediterranean is that if there is no wave, there is no surf, although, in recent years, we are realizing that this rule finds exceptions and for some prey, such as Mormora, Bream, Sarago and Razza, catches occur even in calm seas. From this observation, a technique was born, albeit similar to the Surf Casting, which differs substantially because it is practiced in calm or nearly calm sea conditions, called "Beach Legering", which provides for afishing equipment and a "lighter" philosophy of the Surf Casting. Returning to the technique that is the subject of this article, it must be said that of all the possible fisheries at sea, the Surf Casting it shines in sportsmanship and a high frequency of coats! In fact, unlike other techniques, the result of a line of Surf Casting is too tied to the "magic" moment to be within everyone's reach. First of all, the surf castman has to pinpoint exactly when the sea is in ideal conditions, that is, when the swell releases nourishment causing prey to rush in and thus be able to catch them. These conditions are not very frequent and can last for varying lengths of time, both day and night, when the Surf Casting can offer exciting catches.

Compact and powerful, the Hyroncast is a candidate for a prestigious place among the beach reels tapered coil.

The graphite body encloses a quality gear with a sufficiently fast 4.9:1 retrieval ratio and a number of features that are very useful to the beach caster, such as the Worm Shaft Gear system that allows perfect spooling on the aluminum bevel spool.

A second graphite coil is provided inside the box.

So much recovery force is also supported by a large combat crank made of machined aluminum from billet.

All bearings, 6+1 Long Life, are corrosion-proof and made of stainless steel. worm gear, located inside the body of the fishing reel, determines the orderly arrangement of the line coils on the spool.

As a result, unwinding is facilitated, benefiting the launching distance.

But closer examination notes that the spool skirt has an unusual role, because it is released from the structure and can be rotated manually to trigger the free runner system. What does it mean ' the free runner device, is basically, a very mild second clutch, which allows the reel to rotate by yielding lena to the fish, allowing it to trigger its first reaction without endangering the terminal. Dopo una stagione strepitosa come quella del 2018, che ha visto primeggiare in tutto il mondo le canne caratterizzate dalla tecnologia Twist Free, il grande Emiliano ha salutato il nuovo anno e l’arrivo dei mulinelli Castforce Surf con un annuncio pubblicitario a tutta spiaggia. Il suo entusiasmo ha solide fondamenta nella qualità generale di questo progetto: mulinelli caratterizzati da bobine di grandissimo diametro e ridotta profondità, tutti dotati di frizione Smart Drag che si apre e si chiude con mezzo giro di comando, sviluppati in tre serie ben differenziate perché nessun appassionato di surf possa sentirsi trascurato. Il modello CX è strutturato interamente in carbonio, materiale che offre la stessa rigidità dell’alluminio, al 50% del suo peso. There are manufacturers who ensure the excellence of their product, enhancing the qualities of abrasion resistance and the relationship between diameter and breaking load. Always evaluate the choice according to the type of fishing you want to practice. It would not make sense to try to catch the conger eel on a very rough bottom with a 7 kilograms line, because if the wire does not break at the first obstacle it meets on the bottom, the conger eel will take care of it as soon as it bites. Before buying the line, therefore, evaluate the conditions you will encounter. Having established the most suitable breaking load, orientate yourself towards a branded product. The fishing lines for fishing from the shore are equipped with a different degree of breaking strength depending on the species you intend to target and the type of bottom on which you act. Generally speaking, to fish from open beaches a mother line of 6,8-8 kilograms and a final of 22-27 kilograms are used. To fish on rough bottoms, it is necessary to choose a mother line of greater resistance, up to 15 kilograms, able to overcome unharmed the obstacles that may meet along its path. In order to catch bass with plughi or spinners, it is better to choose a light fishing line, 4-5 kilograms, which guarantees a more natural behavior of the bait and the possibility to make longer and more fluid casts. If you have to apply weights, it is also important to use a shock leader, that is a stretch of heavier wire tied to the end of the main line, usually in yellow or orange fluorescent material to be more visible when it is recovered during night fishing or in bad weather conditions.
