MECCANICA VADESE SMART POD

Carp fishing trips last several days unlike other fishing techniques that normally do not last more than a day.

The basic steps to be done in a carp fishing trip are the following:

  • Find the right place for fishing
  • Probing the bottom
  • Bait
  • Fishing for the biggest carp

Before seeing the various points for the preparation of carp fishing, let's see in detail the fishing equipment used.

For carpfishing are now sold specific equipment for this technique, the fishing rods for carp fishing are two or three pieces and change according to their action, normally the action is measured in pounds.

With regard to the reel we can find on the market of the reels for carpfishing specific, have a lever called lever of the backstop that is used precisely to make sure to leave the monofilament free even when the fishing rod will be positioned in the rod pod.

The rod pod

It is a rod holder strictly used for carp fishing, the function of the rodpod is to alert us when the carp bites our bait, the rod pod has sound sensors and monkeys that allow us to see and hear the bites of the fish.

SMART POD

The Smart Pod is perhaps one of the most versatile pod of Meccanica Vadese. As the name suggests, it is an intelligent pod capable of adapting to multiple fishing situations. Its weight and size, both reduced, make it attractive to those anglers who seek to reduce their equipment to a minimum but do not want to give up the stability of Meccanica Vadese.

The main peculiarity of the Pod is the sliding of the two pairs of legs on the single central tube. Through the ring nuts can be positioned along the entire axis of the pod allowing various configurations such as legs at both ends or legs grouped in the middle or even a position from pod with tips to the sky by moving both in the rear position and then go to act on the same angle of the legs.

Moreover the front buz-bar block (where the markers are located) is completely removable, allowing a quick assembly of the markers and an easy storage of the whole block in a buz-bar bag (not included). This system is possible thanks to two magnets and a mechanical block.

Assuming that thousands of euros worth of equipment must be placed on a stand that provides reliability and safety, these components should certainly not be overlooked when choosing a pod.</span><br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;"><strong>ANGLER TO ANGLER</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> The rod-pod we had the chance to try for you is called "Nick'95 Evolution" and it is the latest product from Meccanica Vadese. The name of this product "EVOLUTION" was not chosen at random, in fact it was made at the end of an evolutionary process that saw as protagonists precisely the suggestions of the carpists themselves who, based on the rod-pods previously made by the Fossombrone-based company, indicated what the real needs were in the various fishing situations, and consequently what improvements should be made. After the majestic Nick and the practical Tech-Nick, Meccanica Vadese has therefore decided to complete its offer with the Nick Evolution, the rod-pod that stands between the two aforementioned taking from both the most salient features. From the former undoubtedly the excellent stability, flanked by the bitubo anti-rotation system and the implosion closure without disassembly; from the latter the weight and ease of transport, without neglecting the excellent value for money.</span><br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;"><strong>VERSATILE AND PRACTICAL</strong></span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> The Nick Evolution is a 360-degree tilting and rotating rod pod, the central body relying on the anti-rotation of the double overlapping tube, which is telescopic and can be tightened to the preferred position.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> It comes with three standard leg extensions, oriented at an angle 7° greater than Nick's, giving it a large support surface by making up for the inability to dislocate the legs. The Evo as it is often called is also very well cared for aesthetically thanks to the anodized aluminum, lightened by almost three kilograms compared to its big brother and finished along the entire structure, decorated in addition by a cutter-made engraving on both support-grids. The telescoping legs and central body offer smooth movements thanks to internal pa6 plungers that ensure ad hoc adjustment for each spot. Independent 3- or 4-barrel buzzer bars allow convenient accommodation of any type of reel with generous operating space between (panoramic also available). Fully collapsible without the need to detach any components it can be conveniently housed in the included carry bag, offering a truly minimal footprint.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> The valuable sensors can be removed with half a turn of the wrist by acting on the standard quick release based on the provided key.</span><br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;"><strong>CONCLUSIONS</strong></span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> The Nick Evolution is a product that undoubtedly aims for the leaidership of the category, a tool that is very well maintained in its materials and finish. During all our tests, thanks to its features and versatility, it proved to be a pod that verges on perfection, it is reliable in any situation, including the most extreme and with uneven terrain or submerged in water. We recommend it especially to the more experienced, to those who are looking for a definitive solution to all the problems that can be encountered in fishing.
