<h2><strong>TRABUCCO PLEIADIS SERIOLA ROD</strong></h2>
<p>As the name implies, inshore trolling is a technique that is practiced close to the coast to catch certain species that regularly inhabit this strip of sea or that, in certain seasons, come close to the coast for spawning or foraging. Also known as "Small Trolling," because of the small size of the most common prey, it is definitely the first trolling experience for the neophyte, especially because of the ease of having a boat suitable for this type of fishing. However, it is a technique that can give a lot of satisfaction both by chasing inshore Sea Bass and during times of passage of pelagic fish (Amberjack, Lampughe, Alalunghe, etc.).</p>
<p><strong>Boat</strong><br />For this trolling technique, any boat from a rowing canoe to a small motor launch can be fine. Definitely not suitable, however, are large offshore boats that would move impractically between outcropping rocks, windsurfers and various dinghies. Basic equipment is therefore minimal, within the law, and without special demands. Certainly a central steering position and with the possibility of locking the steering wheel, can be crucial in case one finds oneself alone in the boat and a nice fish on the line.</p>
<p><strong>Equipment</strong><br />For catching small prey, hand lines of Ø 0.60 with terminals of Ø 0.20/0.25 may also be fine. More generally, it is best to use offshore rods with fixed-drum reels loaded with Ø 0.35/0.45 and terminals of Ø 0.20/0.25 and a good gradual clutch. Ideally, a carbon-blend trolling rod (12/16 lb.) with a needle-roller at the tip and ceramic or titanium thread-pass rings, rotating drum reel, with gradual clutch and loaded with Ø 0.35/0.45 with terminals of Ø 0.20/0.25 is ideal. This type of rod will prove useful when catching Sea Bass or small Amberjack. The equipment is completed by a wide-mouth wade, which is very useful for hauling up caught prey. In case you are going for "serious" Amberjack or attempting Dentex, the equipment should be adequate with a 20/35 lb. trolling rod with a reel commensurate with the rod's power, a ball sinker and a good gaff to haul in the captured fish.</p>
<p><strong><br />Lures</strong><br />The lures that can be used in this technique are diverse and are adapted to different prey and situations. Let's look at them in detail:</p>
<p><em>Simple Feathers</em><br />Easy to construct yourself, practical to use and very effective with some prey they are, among the artificial baits, one of the most widely used and find wide use in inshore trolling. They are almost always the best choice for baiting Occhiate, Aguglie, Sugarelli and Sgombri. They must also always be present in the boat in September/October when pelagics (Palamite, Lampughe, etc.) also approach the coast and they like them a lot, especially if they have a leaded head, yellow feathers and red eyes. Their behavior in the water mimics a small fry and, for this, must work a lot on the surface, but without "skiing." So they must be used without ballast and at low speeds.</p>
