Italcanna unveils a new 3-piece Sufcasting Line of rods called GreyStone in 2024.

The result of collaboration between our research department and Team Italcanna athletes comes this new product line based on new molds, new materials but the experience of rods that continue to make history..
Greystone is made from a mix of as many as 6 different types of carbon some classics, such as nanocomposite matrix High Modulus carbon and precious 1K Canvas, but also of new innovative materials we call "increased radial strength" developed in agreement with valuable partners and contributing to the realization of a reliable and lightweight powerful structure.
The GreyStone line is assembled with Fuji rings: single bridge at the top to lighten and not stiffen, and double bridge at the bottom for added strength. High-grip paint in the grip and graft areas with the exclusive RewTaper joint (Italcanna patented) to guarantee stable and long-lasting grafts.
In detail we can say, for example, that the LG75 model is a slightly asymmetrical 3pcs, perfect for fishing with both 75g and 50g with which it expresses itself with a marked tip action thus allowing it to read the sea perfectly.
The length of this model makes it suitable for all situations where very long mounts are required or to go over the first wave on important bottoms where it is necessary to fish on the first step.
In spite of its length, it does not suffer from unraveling problems when casting, thus avoiding annoying garbling on the tip while ensuring excellent casting performance even with simple gestures on both 50 and 75g. This is also thanks to the single vetta that allowed us to optimize it perfectly with the underlying structure.
Most convenient for competitions in that it allows very light, targeted fishing for small fish inshore or to immediately change range and type of fishing by mounting a 75-gram lead.
The action is certainly tip-top, but the underbaiter is immediately ready in the moment of need and does so inm progressive and gradual manner, never abrupt, thus also allowing us to confront large fish and thin wires without risking breaking due to a sudden restart on an overly hard shaft.
The GreyStone LG75 thus represents the right compromise between top action and workability/fish handling and is light and usable rod in hand, while allowing excellent control over the 75g it handles amply.
The thin reported peak is really sensitive and leaves no doubt even at very small and listless fish bites, allowing us to shorten our response and fishing time.
Models 150 and 180 are respectively recommended for weights in the range of 125-150 and 140-180g where they express their full potential.

<h2>ITALCANNA MANGUSTA CANE</h2> <p>The Mangusta is certainly one of the first "real" sea rods with a length of 5 m. Too often in fact, those who were looking for a long lever for sea fishing had to fall back on more or less powerful bolognese rods made with reel holders of insufficient strength and rings unsuitable for diameter and quality, without considering the very bad action in loading. With Mangusta, on the other hand, you will have a long rod, able to cast at a considerable distance and manage ballasts up to 130g. Its length (just under 5 mt in compliance with the regulations) allows the use of particularly long terminals or the use of more hooks on the same line. In the latter case with the use of a single rod you will have more chances of capture. The tip remains always very sensitive and able to detect even the smallest shoals. The rod has a very small section and is very well balanced thanks to the new "Balance Optimizer" system that provides for the use of special components and rings with "Ultra Light" structure, in fact we must not forget that we have a disadvantageous lever of almost 1 mt more than the classic surf rods. All the composite elements are built with the most valuable carbon fibers High module and High resistance, while the rings are made of Alconite and SIC on the most stressed parts. In the terminal part of the stock a comfortable knob and a painting with high grip ensure a firm grip. The rod comes standard with a quality cap. <h2>ITALCANNA surfcasting fishing rod</h2> <p>The Terranova is a thin and light 3-pc surfcasting rod with an action designed to maximize the loading phase and tip sensitivity, two peculiarities that make it suitable even in competitive use. This rod is the result of Italcanna's design experience, gained over 50 years in the sea sector assisted by expert casters who have fine-tuned its action by making the most of the new materials made available by the most innovative and recent construction technologies. In fact, like the top level split rods, the Terranova exploits the principle of the "Double Charge" system that also preloads the lower part of the stock by making better use of the left hand lever. Thanks to this principle, there is a feeling of greater smoothness, ease and management of the cast even if in reality the energy that is accumulated and rendered, is far greater than the classic poles that a normal body can hardly exploit. As many as 5 different models to cover the entire range of surfcasting for maximums of 100, 130, 170, 180, 220 g and have casting optimums of 90/100 - 100/120 - 130/150 - 125/170 and finally 150/180 g, respectively.
