<h2>Italcanna aspide surfcasting fishing rod </h2> We are aware that rods are just a tool to spend a few hours of freedom on the beach, but if you, like us, like to challenge the impossible you have to take a look at the Aspide, and we are not referring to aesthetics... The Aspide born at the specific request of one of our collaborators who then also took care of the testing, is the latest fruit of our research and development team, and required several hours of design, 5 prototypes and the use of 8 different materials. The requirement was to be able to have a high-power rod capable of holding a long lever during loading to achieve high escape velocity, yet without stiffening the tip, indeed, bringing it thin to the point so that during casting it would reset completely, but then return to full efficiency and sensitivity when fishing. All this without breaking, using "the best material par excellence," a small diameter, maximum possible lightness and, above all, most difficult of all: fitting it all together so as not to have a broken action. It is therefore based on an innovative concept, never attempted before, a new way of thinking about the fishing rod different from all ours and all other rods on the market. In fact there are other hard rods around, but the Aspide exaggerates even more than the Vitium the "Hard with a Sensitive Soul" concept that despite the powerful leverage, accompanies the bait in the initial phase. By jerking it loose you will not be able to understand what we are saying: the feel is that of a two-piece, but looking at the tip we realize that something is not quite right.... (but is this a beach rod or a surf rod ?) The final results of the project once again exceeded expectations: - an impressive loading speed - instantaneous return with very little oscillation that zeroes in on wigs and breakage even with very thin threads - a rod that pushes and goes, and does so with progression while being fast right out of the box - a range of use from 75 to 175g, a rod therefore that with the exception of some specialized applications transcends the concept of a band, of an ideal lead, of a rod for rough or calm seas. - Center of gravity of the rod close to the reel seat for optimal balance ( absolute lightness brings no advantage if the balance is bad) For all these reasons we dared to call it the complete rod: "The Ultimate" Is it different from all others? Yes it is Does it shoot far ? Yes very much, adapting to the style of the launcher Is it expensive ? Yes, but this result cannot be achieved any other way Have we dared too much ? maybe... but who doesn't like to dream the best possible to push the envelope ? With these two combinations, we are sure that everyone will have the opportunity to choose the right rod for their needs. Throughout the design phase the testers achieved remarkable distances using both lengths; in particular the Gloriosa Light with the 100 to 125gr lead impressed those who tried it for the ease with which first-rate distances are achieved with minimal effort. As can be clearly seen on the pedestrian structures, a long power point has been made following precise studies to unleash a powerful loading action on the entire shaft, with a subsequent very rapid and powerful closing release, thanks to the ultraconical peaks, that astounded all who had it in their hands. The particular structure was made in total absence of fiberglass. The presence of the latest pure carbon and the special resins used make the Gloriosa extremely exhilarating, responsive and particularly capable of cleaving the air in view of the small diameters. The rod that marked the establishment of VERET in the Longcasting sector! The Longcasting in the VERET house was born with the GLORIOSA, designed specifically for competitions and destined almost exclusively for this discipline. Two models in two different lengths for different needs. GLORIOSA LIGHT with a launch power of up to 150gr and a 23mm thin handle section. GLORIOUS STRONG with unlimited power makes this rod a full-range in all respects, with a section of the handle of 25.5mm. Both measures 4.15m and 4.35m. The couplings are made with Italcanna's new (patented) Rewtaper reverse taper system for perfect changes, and the tip, thanks to a reinforced structure, accepts even small errors when casting. Excellent for competitive competitions, it has also been fine-tuned through the efforts of our technical casting staff. And just to mark the efforts of our Team and to clearly indicate the origin of this model an innovative look was chosen, such that the rod when fully assembled, represents with the three elements of different color the Italian Tricolor (Patent for industrial design CCIAA Lucca. 100 % MADE in ITALY Italcanna guarantees that all the rods in this catalog are absolutely made in Italy at its production facility in Lucca, starting with the mother carbon fiber that is used to make each and every barrel. Made in Italy means not only choosing the best materials, but also having the certainty of assistance and spare parts even on older products. In fact, we are used to always keep the molds necessary to make a given item. Italian production also means that the product you are using has been developed by expert fishermen for our seas, our seabeds, and our fishing techniques, and is therefore not an item that for market needs must necessarily be suitable for more than one country. The choice of materials Having a direct production-user relationship, we feel obliged to always employ the best materials, because we are personally accountable for the materials used, unlike manufacturers who resell to multinationals with the sole purpose of offering a sufficient product at a lower price to prevent them from turning to others, and certainly do not specify to them the raw materials used.
