SEASPIN LEPPA JIG 22

The Leppa is a metal jig with a flattened shape; not for nothing does Leppa, in Sardinian dialect, mean "knife," and in fact its physiognomy is very reminiscent of that of a dagger. Its particularly flat and aerodynamic shape, combined with its center of gravity shifted to the rear, allow it to make amazing casts.
In the retrieve it allows many customizations: it manages to guarantee a nervous and very enticing swim even on the linear retrieve and at very low speeds, and at the same time on jerk strokes it responds with obvious side jerks almost as if it were a jerk bait instead of a metal jig; at high rod and sustained speed it is
possible to make it swim just below the surface exploiting the eddies it will create as an additional source of attraction for predators. It is offered with a special single hook (Gàmu round hook) in place of the classic treble hook, because it is a more reliable conformation against large marine predators.
Excellent for use both from land and from the boat, it is suitable for searching for a large number of predators especially pelagic ones such as various tunnids, skipjack, amberjack and dorado. It is not disdained, however, by predators from the subcoast such as snappers and greenhouses; Excellent artificial for fishing on offshore feeders where
its swimming characteristics allow very slow passes that allow it to stay in the frenzy zone for longer.

<h2>HERAKLES ABISSO FIRECLACKER</h2> L' EGING (Pesca ai Cefalopodi) è una tecnica davvero bella che sta appassionando sempre più persone. Questa tecnica di pesca nasce in Giappone ma ora sta spopolando in quasi tutto il mondo. E' davvero divertente, studiata per insidiare i calamari dalla costa, cosa che per molti era difficile da credere. Le specie che potremo insidiare oltre ai calamari sono le seppie ed i polpi. Attrezzatura: Ora in commercio troviamo moltissime canne dedicate a questa tecnica di pesca. Le canne generalmente sono in 2 pezzi con una lunghezza media di 8’ piedi (2,44 metri); solitamente la potenza viene espressa con le misure delle EGI (le totanare) es 2.5 – 3.0 – 3.5 queste sono le classiche poi troveremo a nostro piacimento micro EGI anche sotto la misura 2.0 per un LIGHT EGING oppure esche più grandi e pesanti come le 4.0 per condizioni particolari come forte vento o profondità del fondale molto elevata. Oltre alla misura nelle caratteristiche delle nostre EGI troveremo la velocità di affondamento solitamente espressa in s/m cioè quanti secondi impiega per affondare di un metro la nostra EGI verso il fondo. Nelle caratteristiche della canna spesso viene indicato anche lo spessore del filo consigliato con un minimo ed un massimo es: LINE 0.6/1.0 PE in questo caso possiamo utilizzare un trecciato PE tra la misura 0.6 e 1.0; un consiglio è quello di rimanere sempre su una via di mezzo tra le due misure indicate come un 0.8 PE in questo esempio. Sceglieremo le nostre esche in base al nostro spot in quanto ai colori non c’è uno schema ben preciso ma dovrete provare nel vostro spot e periodo quali vanno di più. Personalmente amo molto i colori classici Arancio, Rosa e Verde mi hanno sempre regalato bellissime catture. Consiglio l’utilizzo di trecciati morbidi e sottili per consentire lunghi lanci ed uno stretto contatto con la nostra esca pronti ad alzare immediatamente la canna quando il cefalopode la prende tra i suoi tentacoli; questo abbinato con circa 1-1.5 metri di terminale in fluorocarbon per avere un minimo di elasticità. La scelta del mulinello è personale ma posso dirvi di non usare mulinelli troppo grossi o pesanti; un 2500 direi che è una taglia perfetta. Esistono mulinelli dedicati per questa tecnica caratterizzati da bobine Shallow (a bassa capienza) e frizione con max drag basso. Scelta dello spot: Gli spot migliori per insidiare i calamari sono moli illuminati, imbocchi portuali, scogliere fonde e spiagge. La profondità solitamente deve essere dai 2 metri in poi e l’importanza dell’acqua limpida è quasi fondamentale. A volte se peschiamo nei pressi di moli o spiagge se ci posizioniamo vicino a fonti di luce questo potrà aiutarci ad aumentare le catture. Quando insidiarli: L’orario buono per poter insidiare da riva i calamari va da circa un ora prima del tramonto sino all’alba, poi in base allo spot e alle loro abitudini starà a noi capire quando trovarli di preciso. In quanto al periodo la differenza la fa il luogo in cui ci troviamo; nella maggior parte dei casi il periodo migliore ca da fine estate (Settembre) a fine inverno (Marzo). La linea Herakles Abisso Egi è composta da una serie di artificiali ottimamente bilanciati, sia in fase di lancio, che in fase di nuoto. Il piombo forato permette di variarne l’asseto e la velocità di affondamento, tramite l’uso di zavorre aggiuntive, come l’Herakles Screw Sinker. Il corpo è rifinito con tessuto di ottima qualità, dai colori curati ed adescanti. La corona di ami è stata scelta per essere resistente, altamente penetrante e molto affidabile, per evitare di perdere la preda in fase di combattimento. Tutti possono copiare la realtà, ma pochi riescono a capirne l’essenza e riprodurre artificialmente le caratteristiche fondamentali che rendano irresistibile una soft bait. Il corpo ring permette un innesco perfetto, rendendolo anti-incaglio e facilitando la fuoriuscita dell’amo. Le ali sottili poste ai lati riproducono le vibrazioni che naturalmente sarebbero emesse dalle zampette, inoltre contribuiscono all’assetto dell’artificiale durante il recupero jerkato. Lo ShrimpU trova la sua massima efficacia nelle pause durante la caduta e fermo sul fondale, da utilizzare weight-less nei recuperi “stop and go”, dove una qualsiasi turbolenza è sufficiente a mettere in azione tutto l’artificiale. Perfetto nella versione shaky head, mantiene inoltre il suo potere attrattivo presentato con l’innesco texas rig e drop shot. <h2>SEASPIN MOMMOTTI 140 SS</h2> <div> The Mommotti is our extremely tapered long jerk minnow (the most popular type of artificial in recent years), which is characterized not only by its long cast, but also by its tightness in the current and the great pleasure of feeling it well in the rod, while not overstraining the angler's arm. Research has led to the creation of a slight ventral curvature of the artificial, which gives greater instability in swimming and has proven to be particularly attractive to predators. A universal lure aimed especially at bass, barracuda, greenhouse fish and many other predators, it responds very well to jerkbaits with conspicuous side swerves and also exhibits good swimming action during regular retrieves, both fast and slow. It was born to work in the 50-70cm water range and to be used from shallow locations or at least not too high above sea level. <h2>SEASPIN LEPPA JIG 11</h2> <div>After the 22, 33, 44 and 55, the small size of the very special jigs from the Sardinian company Seaspin could not be missing. Thus, Leppa 11 was born as an answer to all salt and freshwater casters who like to use light equipment to search for their favorite predators. The proportions and shape of the big brothers remain unchanged: that special "anatomy" that makes Leppa unique. The flattened and aerodynamic body with the center of gravity of the bait shifted to the rear make this jig a real "bullet" . Its swimming is nervous and wagging even on slow, linear retrieves, and the lure responds promptly to jerks by producing the classic "side to side" motion generally more common in classic jerk minnow. During the fall to the bottom the jig, thanks to its knife-like shape, leaves the vertical trajectory "exhibiting" a disorderly flicker, accentuated more by the refraction of light on the side of the lure formed by three planes slightly angled to each other. Precisely because of this feature we decided to arm the metal with a single assist (formed by a strong lanyard and a Gamu round Hook size #1) and specifically let's see why : 1 The assist hook is an additional moving element that creates interest in the predator's sight. 2 The "lightness" of the assist increases the probability of strike especially on predators that suck in the bait. 3 If the jig is used on the bottom the "lightness" of the assist hook averts unpleasant strandings. 4 The Gamu Hook facilitates and speeds up the unhooking stages by making it possible to release the prey. 5 The mobility of the assist hook completely negates any leverage or twisting effect that often causes the prey to dislodge. 6 The robustness of the assist hook makes a small bait like this perform well even on very large prey. Reading these characteristics, one can guess the many scenarios in which the Leppa 11 can be successfully employed: from the classic off-shore feeding ( so setters, horse mackerel, mackerel, walleye, tombarelli , lampugheye bonito etc etc etc) to the search for all those bottom fish such as paragus, gurnard, snapper, scorpionfish and tracine. But it is also excellent for baiting from the shore in the skimmers of the underwater sea bass, bream, saddled bream, greenhouse and barracuda. Thanks to its size, it also lends itself to use in fresh water : for example, let it fall to the bottom of a large lake in search of a real perch or let it flicker in the current of a stream ready to intrigue a beautiful trout on the prowl !
