<p><span style="color: #000000;">The EVO 170 is a latest generation telescopic surf casting rod, designed and studied in our laboratories with the collaboration of Stefano Simi, Italian long casting champion and expert in fishing from the beach. Thanks to the use of very sophisticated carbon materials and the exclusive fiber compaction system, we have created a strong, powerful and well-balanced structure; we understand that the first impression could be misleading due to the small diameter of the stock and the thin tip, but we can assure you that the performance of this model goes far beyond expectations. Thanks to the full carbon tip that matches perfectly with the power structure, we were able to achieve unparalleled consistency of performance from 120 to 170 gr.; even unexaggerated or otherwise less than perfect casts bring the lead a great distance; easy handling and remarkable control possibilities for precision shots. Excellent hold in fishing that compared to other rods turns out to be better, that is, with the same lead it "digs" less and allows you to hold lighter lead and therefore thinner line with the advantages you can imagine. The EVO-170 is available in 3 sizes and although similar we recommend: the mt. 4.40 suitable for everyone, very versatile, excellent in fishing; the mt.4.10 slightly more rigid and stable, and the 4.70 for using very long casts. All are composed of 6 elements, to reduce the number of slides and to place the rings where they are really needed. The rings are made of SIC and the reel holder is the anatomical tapered type. We believe that the EVO 170 precisely because of these features will not go unnoticed in the eyes of those who, like us, are always looking for the best. <p><span style="color: #000000;">Italcanna guarantees that all the rods in this catalog are absolutely made in Italy at its production facility in Lucca, Italy, starting with the mother carbon fiber that is used to make each rod.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> Made in Italy means not only choosing the best materials, but also having the certainty of assistance and spare parts even on older products.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> In fact, we are used to always keep the molds needed to make a particular item.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> Italian production also means that the product being used has been developed by expert fishermen for our seas, our seabeds, and our fishing techniques, and is therefore not an item that for market needs must necessarily be suitable for more than one country.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>The choice of materials</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Having a direct production-user relationship, we feel obliged to always employ the best materials, because we are personally accountable for the materials used, unlike manufacturers who resell to multinationals with the sole purpose of offering a sufficient product at a lower price to prevent them from turning to others, and certainly do not specify to them the raw materials used.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;"> A clear example of this is carbon fiber, in the chart opposite we highlight different types of fibers in HR class which as visible all have a similar modulus value, but very different tensile strength values, this means that a rod made with fiber A (our choice) will have the same stiffness and weight feeling as one made with fiber C (less expensive), so seemingly the same, however under greater tensile stress the one with fiber C will break much sooner.</span></p>
