The basic steps to take on a carpfishing trip are as follows : <ul> <li>Find a suitable location for fishing</li> <li>Probing the bottom</li> <li>Baiting</li> <li>Fishing for the biggest carp</li> </ul> Before looking at the various points for carp fishing preparation, let's look in detail at the fishing equipment used. For carpfishing nowadays specific equipment is sold for this technique, the fishing rods for carp fishing are two or three pieces and change according to their action, normally the action is measured in pounds. As for the reel we can find specific carpfishing reels on the market, they have a lever called the backstop lever that is used precisely to make sure that the monofilament is left free even when the fishing rod will be placed in the rod pod. <h3>The rod pod</h3> It is a rod holder purely used for carpfishing, the function of the rodpod is to alert us when the carp bites our bait, the rod pod has sound sensors and monkeys that will allow us to see and hear the bites of the fish. MICRO NICK The Vadese Mechanics Team developed this Rod Pod with those anglers in mind who need a support that is extremely reliable in terms of stability and adjustments but also very light and convenient to carry. Reaching the most secluded spots is not a problem, in fact µ-Nick has a negligible weight of 3.4 kg and an ergonomic shoulder carrying bag that leaves your hands free to be able to take other bagals. The µ-Nick'08 Rod-Pod retains the functional features that have made Meccanica Vadese's pods great; in fact, it is equipped with the characteristic 360° joint and, of course, ample tilting movement designed to allow the three main rod setups: Tips in the water; Parallel to the ground; Tips to the sky. The pod is supplied with 3 standard pegs suitable for anchoring it to the ground for total stability even with tightened clutches; important merit of this mount is undoubtedly the characteristic locking of the tilting movement that is made with a comb cutter so as to ensure a powerful and totlamente reliable grip despite the small diameters. (See image of the center joint.) The Micronick represents among Meccanica Vadese's supports the one most devoted to recondite and difficult-to-access spots with a lot of material beside it. Its collected dimensions also make it a very suitable support for quarries and small waters, nothing and nobody obviously prohibits its use in large lakes and in fact this pod had its first tests in large waters such as Pusiano, Endine and Trasmeno without ever showing any deficiency despite the welcome and numerous catches accompanied by violent departures. Back in Italy at the end of the 1960s his passion for the sea combined with some Venezuelan deep-sea fishing experiences led him, since in those years there was a lack of specific products for Big Game, to design and build the Gladiator reel. After a few years of testing (which was followed by patent application nr. 31039) and excellent practical results he began the production of the Gladiator also assisted by other collaborators. Some time later Mr. Ricò thought of contacting Carlo D'Olivo president of Italcanna to improve the commercial diffusion of the product, and shortly after in the 1970s Mr. D'Olivo personally became part of the Gladiator company and then took it over completely a few years later upon the death of his friend Sergio. For all these years the Gladiator company produced highly specialized equipment for deep-sea fishing such as rings, handles, etc. The Gladiator has over time always stood out for its simplicity of operation and elegance, and was the first reel in the world with an electric contact sound beacon for shoaling (it could operate the boat siren or other electric means - 1st prize Spoga Koln 1979 - Germany). In the following years due to a strong demand for the product, production agreements were also made with other companies that further improved the quality level. The reel GLADIATOR is the perfect match for Italcanna rods and together they have won over the years numerous Italian, European and World Championships (as visible in the news area) as well as several catch records. Technique, experience but also deep passion for sea fishing are therefore at the basis of a Gladiator reel that is now made of anti-corrosion alloy and stainless steel (on high-speed bearings) and is a real strong point on the market for lightness, performance and reliability. Every single computer-designed component is then made on extremely precise machining centers, and using it you will appreciate the innovative lever non-return system (by means of a free wheel) and the easy adjustment of a cam-driven carbon clutch that does not allow for errors from over-tightening or wigging due to full spool release. The special off-center ergonomic handle made of reinforced abs allows not only a better grip, but also makes it easier to hold because it is always upright, as well as transmitting more power to the axle. The elegance of the nickel/anti-corodal contrasts is enhanced by laser engravings that will not fade or fade over time. The new Gladiator CUB (meaning Lion's Cub) reel is designed to be very small in size and weight but up to 45 pounds of power that place it at the highest technical level for vertical jigging fishing but it is also in sinker trolling, trolling and light drifting that it can be used with excellent results.
