The Terranova is a thin and light 3-pc surfcasting rod with an action designed to maximize the loading phase and tip sensitivity, two peculiarities that make it suitable even in competitive use. This rod is the result of Italcanna's design experience, gained over 50 years in the sea sector assisted by expert casters who have fine-tuned its action by making the most of the new materials made available by the most innovative and recent construction technologies. In fact, like the top level split rods, the Terranova exploits the principle of the "Double Charge" system that also preloads the lower part of the stock by making better use of the left hand lever. Thanks to this principle, there is a feeling of greater smoothness, ease and management of the cast even if in reality the energy that is accumulated and rendered, is far greater than the classic poles that a normal body can hardly exploit. As many as 5 different models to cover the entire range of surfcasting for maximums of 100, 130, 170, 180, 220 g and have casting optimums of 90/100 - 100/120 - 130/150 - 125/170 and finally 150/180 g, respectively. The first two elements were made with the new HR - HM satin surface carbon while the stock is carbon textured to the cap, which in addition to presenting better protection for the underlying fibers from surface bumps or nicks demonstrates the high quality of workmanship and the use of premium materials. Fuji reel holder. Gripping action coating for better grip. Medium action: 0.72
100 % MADE in ITALY
Italcanna guarantees that all the rods in this catalog are absolutely made in Italy at its production facility in Lucca, starting with the mother carbon fiber that is used to make each and every shaft. Made in Italy means not only choosing the best materials, but also having the certainty of assistance and spare parts even on older products. In fact, we are used to always keep the molds necessary to make a given item. Italian production also means that the product you are using has been developed by expert fishermen for our seas, our seabeds, and our fishing techniques, and is therefore not an item that for market needs must necessarily be suitable for more than one country.
The choice of materials
Having a direct production-user relationship, we feel obliged to always employ the best materials, because we are personally accountable for the materials used, unlike manufacturers who resell to multinationals with the sole purpose of offering a sufficient product at a lower price to prevent them from turning to others, and certainly do not specify to them the raw materials used. A clear example of this is carbon fiber, in the chart opposite we highlight different types of HR class fibers which as visible all have a similar modulus value, but very different tensile strength values, this means that a rod made with A fiber (our choice) will have the same stiffness and weight feeling as one made with C fiber (less expensive), so seemingly the same, however under greater tensile stress the one with C fiber will break much sooner.

ITALCANNA CANNA VECTOR A4

ITALCANNA FIRA CANE

Telescopic Surfcasting rod of mt. 4.50 in 6 elements characterized by excellent thrust power and absence of slides on the tip. Particular attention in the design was paid to the continuity of action and progression of power in the elements immediately below the tip (a problem that afflicts almost all short-tip rods), obtaining with this model results like never before, on a par with traditional long-tip telescopic rods. You will therefore always have a linear and progressive response, never abrupt, and this gradual loading of the elements will cushion by dosing your force to the line. Made with new HR - HM satin surface carbon with textured carbon stock that has better protection for the underlying fibers from surface bumps or nicks. Optimal casting from 125 to 145 g, yet also supporting casting with higher weights. Fuji reel seat. Gripping action knob and coating for better grip. 0.68 action

The couplings are made with Italcanna's new (patented) Rewtaper reverse taper system for perfect changes, and the tip, thanks to a reinforced structure, accepts even small errors when casting. Excellent for competitive competitions, it has also been fine-tuned through the efforts of our technical casting staff.
And just to mark the efforts of our Team and to clearly indicate the origin of this model an innovative look was chosen, such that the rod when fully assembled, represents with the three elements of different color the Italian Tricolor (Patent for industrial design CCIAA Lucca.
