<p align="left">Both types meet the specifications required by CE regulations; they are self-righting and have a large floating pillow collar to efficiently support the child's head and keep the airway out of the water.</p>

<p align="left">- Children's inflatable lifejackets are always of the auto-inflating type; even if the child falls into the water unconscious or cannot swim, the lifejacket inflates automatically, upon mere contact with the water. However, we tend to recommend inflatable lifejackets only for children 6 or 7 years and older, which is an age when the child may swim little and move around the boat with relative freedom of movement. An inflatable life jacket is ideal for a child who is already familiar with life on board and reasonably aware of danger; less cumbersome than a foam jacket, it contributes to a child's better freedom of movement and can therefore have a positive effect on his or her involvement on board.</p>

<p align="left">- For toddlers, and indeed most children, we still recommend the traditional floating foam life jacket: your child is literally "bundled up" in a protective shell. While its primary function is to provide buoyancy, its foam volume acts as a real bumper, protecting your child from violent impacts; it also definitely slows down the movements of a curious and adventurous brood, which some parents might find comforting!</p>

<p align="left">Last but not least, don't forget to surround your decks with netting: in addition to the life preserver that is the essential, guardrail netting is a wise and simple precaution.</p>
