Depth gauge / Advanced electronic timer

The D.I.P. (Diving Instrument for Professionals) is an advanced electronic depth gauge/timer intended for Tek or Pro divers.

This instrument is a rugged wrist-mounted device equipped with a "navigation" function that pre-records information intended to help a diver maintain control of his dive and horizontal movement more precisely than classical approximate navigation techniques would allow.
NAV mode: one or more dive scenarios are loaded into the memory of the device in the form of a series of "segment" numbers, where each segment corresponds to a compass course and a duration (hours/min/sec) of finning. The diver simply follows the dive as the DIP suggests it to him and can concentrate on the aspects of his dive which are not related to navigation.

- Information readability
- Chronometer Mode
- Digital speed display
- Time: hours / minutes / seconds
- Automatic Altitude Mode - Interchangeable Stack

The DIP integrates two different, switchable modes:

1) Normal mode Depth gauge / Timer "NORM":
- Current dive depth / Maximum depth reached.
- Immersion time (hours: min: sec)
- Barograph-assisted ascent rate with overspeed alarm.
- A choice of 2 ascending speed scales is offered:
- National Navy dive tables and international sport diving standards.
- Digital display of the ascent speed in absolute values
- Local time hours / min / sec
- Chrono mode: on / off / reset
- Altitude level
- Temperature, Current PPO2
- High PPO2 alarm.

2) "Navigation" "NAV" mode:
- Depth data viewer: real depth
- Mission segments recorded with PC interface with:
- Compass course (H)
- Duration / Countdown (CDT)
- Segment No. (SN). Maximum number of recordable segments: 99
- Total elapsed time since start of dive (hrs:min) (EDT)

Key Features:
- Maximum immersion time: 9 hrs 59 min
- Automatic altitude compensation. Maximum altitude: 4270 m / 14,000 ft
- Maximum operating depth: 120 meters / 400 feet
- Operating temperature when immersed: -2°C / +35°C. Stored outside water : -6°C / +60°C
- Low consumption electroluminescent lighting (activation button on request)
- Automatic (with wet contacts) or manual ignition
- Power supply: 3 V lithium battery type CR2450.
Easy replacement by user. Shelf life: 5 years
- Predictable autonomy (with lighting constantly on at 50% of its rated value)
50 hours in " NAV " mode
- Maximum number of recorded dives: the last 24 (memo mode)
- Loading/unloading of data to PC.
- Data processing on PC:
- Download: dive profile in the form of a depth/time chart
- Loading: pre-recorded dive scenario: No. of segments / compass course + durations
- PC communication interface (connection cable / USB port + software CD)
